Rose Window

The Great Rose Window
The Centenary of the Cathedral in 1981 provided the opportunity to fill the great Rose Window above the organ gallery with brilliant glass from the Sydney studio of Stephen Moor; a centenary gift subscribed to by people from all over Tasmania.
The window depicts the Gospel of Christ bursting magnificently into the earthly Church.
The five crosses in the centre represent Christ and the gospel-writers, Sts Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
