About the event
Under the direction of musical director Dr Jonathan Wallis, Allegri Ensemble will be joined by Dr Calvin Bowman, organist extraordinaire, academic and composer. Bowman’s recently completed anthem ‘O Lord, support us all the day long’ for choir and organ, commissioned by Allegri, will receive its World Premiere during this performance.
Join Allegri Ensemble, conducted by Jonathan Wallis and accompanied by Dr Calvin Bowman, at St Mary’s Cathedral on July 27th for an hour of melancholy and hope in ‘Songs of Remembrance’.
